Volume 7 - Edition 4 - April 2011
In this issue
From the CEO
David Drake CEO and Founder Revelation Software Concepts Welcome to the April edition of SAP Change Control e-News, I hope you find it valuable reading. In a recent interview, Robert Courteau, SAP North America President highlighted the need for SAP customers to continue to drive ROI from their SAP investments, particularly
through creating new departments, new business processes and new ways of doing business.
This spells continuing volumes of change requests for SAP CoE’s and SAP IT teams to manage.
Since the cost and risks associated with SAP change are proportional to volume of change means SAP CoE’s are going to need to be ever vigilant to manage these risks and keep costs low.
Implementing an SAP change control automation technology is one method Rev-Trac customers have found invaluable.
Soon this type of technology will be standard for even medium sized SAP customers.
Be sure to read Rick Porter’s article on trends around requirements based change and the Rev-Trac features and functions feature on web services and ALM integration with Rev-Trac. Enjoy the following and as always, we continue to lead
innovation in SAP change control, developing software technology to help you reduce the risks and lower the costs of introducing changes into your SAP systems. David Drake, CEO and
Founder

Lowering the risks that come with managing SAP change and lowering the associated costs of managing (or mismanaging) those risks is becoming an area of interest for most SAP change control teams.
Automation is fast becoming the catch cry from CIO to BASIS and the resulting question is what should be automated and how can it be automated?
